Birmingham Blaze FC

The club was founded on 28th July 2005, when seven friends got together for a training session under the shadow of the NIA.

Since then, the club has grown massively and is now an integral part of the Birmingham LGBT community.

However, the club prefers to be called a 'community' based club rather than align ourselves specifically to any single diverse group, and their membership reflects this.

The focal point of the club is the twice weekly kickabouts in Birmingham, held every Sunday and Wednesday. Everyone is welcome, male and female, from seasoned veterans to those who've never kicked a ball in their lives.

Some come to improve their game, some to keep fit, some to make new friends, some who like to be involved in something "different" from the bars and clubs on the LGBT scene, and some to enjoy their favourite sport in a hassle-free environment. There's a real mix of ability, yet everyone has a great laugh!

The club is proud to play in the GFSN League, as this allows us to play mixed gender teams. We also have a very healthy social scene at the club based in Birmingham and are well known throughout the City.

The club has a strong committee that promotes equality and inclusion as it's core value. Blaze are entering their third season in the league.
