Hotscots FC
Hotscots FC were formed on 24 th February 2007, after initially posting an advertisement in the gay press looking for players.
18 months later, and they've reached the last-16 of the World Cup, took part in tournaments across the country, and now boast a membership of over 40 players.
The first LGBT-friendly team in Scotland , Hotscots had their application to join the league for the 2008/09 season accepted in June 2008.
They won their first piece of silverware - the Fitlads Cup - defeating London Falcons on penalties after a close-fought 2-legged fixture.
Based in Edinburgh , they attract players from all over Scotland and have featured on mainstream Scottish TV and newspapers.
With such large numbers, they are considering expanding with a second team, and also plan to send players on coaching courses. They are also seeking affiliation with local professional teams.
There first fixture for the league season is against London Titans, on September 21st
